Top Atlanta French Restaurants
Euro 2016 is in full swing, and if you're a soccer fan you've been enjoying watching the tournament that's been taking place in France. It got me to thinking about the trip Leisha and I took to Paris two summers ago. In celebration of a fun tournament and as a bit of a rememberance of our time in France, we're revisiting a post we wrote two summers ago that looked at some of the top French restaurants in Atlanta that don't require a passport or a long flight.
Paris is a wonderful city to visit with the art, the monuments, the scenery, the and of course the dining options. From small out of the way bistros and cafe's to five star restaurants and everything in between there is ample opportunity to satisfy your hunger. In 1765 a Parisian soup-vendor named Boulanger (which, confusingly, means Baker) put up a sign outside his shop in Latin, reading: "VENITE AD ME VOS QUI STOMACHO LABORATIS ET EGO RESTAURABO VOS " translated as "Come to me, all who labour in the stomach, and I will restore you." The idea of serving individual meals to customers who could sit down and eat them on the spot was, amazingly, very new; so the restorative aspect of Boulanger's innovation was incorporated into the name for this type of establishment. Anis Bistro
