Atlanta Dating Spot: Atlanta Botanical Gardens
This week's pick has to be one of my favorite places in the city! With a canopy walk which makes up a magical forest of hundreds of plant species, and a beautiful courtyard that opens up to various art sculptures and flowers, this is the perfect place to go on a date, day or night. The Atlanta Botanical Gardens has detailed plant exhibits based on the season, but each one is intricately planned so that your natural experience will be at an all time high, and romance will be sure to blossom, no pun intended!
There is always something going on that will tie into romance (its a garden afterall) and two that we are looking forward to include:
- Concerts in the Garden, held at both the downtown and Gainesville locations this summer, features a collection of music ripe for romance. This season at the main Atlanta location you can enjoy John Prine, case/lang/veirs (Neko case, K.D. Lang & Laura Veirs), Phillip Phillips and Lyle Lovett & His Large Band. At the Gainesville location featured performers include The Four tops, the Indigo Girls and Loretta Lynn.
- Chihuly in the Garden (now open) from April 30th to October 30th. The exhibit includes 19 installation sites all set amongst the Garden's natural beauty. The kaleidoscopic colors of the art for which the artist has become so famous may also be experienced in a different light - at night when the Garden offers extended hours. Explore the exhibition during Chihuly Nights in the evenings from Wednesday Sunday.
